As a food writer, food stylist and presenter, with a love of simple and beautiful food, I consider myself extremely lucky to spend my life immersed in all things edible. My time is equally spilt between writing my own cookery books, making films about food and creating recipes and food for photography that is used in TV, advertising, packaging, PR and marketing campaigns.
I have a lifelong love of the outdoors and my most recent book, How To Eat Outside reflects this passion with over a hundred recipes for campfire cooking, bonfire night, beach feasts and picnics. Throughout 2016/2017 I am delighted to be working with fabulous barbecue brand Napoleon Grills as their barbecue ambassador - its marriage made in heaven! My next book is on street food and a collaboration with world renowned Masterchef brand [Masterchef: Street Food of the World] and is due out on general release in March 2017.
I live in Bristol with my husband and two children, along with a more-than-is-sensible collection of rescued pets, currently a collie/whippet cross, a crazy jack russell, one sensible fat cat, one bonkers skinny cat and several chickens. Life is neither simple or quiet, and that is just the way I like it. When I’m not cooking, I can usually be found outside, either walking the dogs, mucking about with the kids in the woods, up a mountain, or by the sea, or in my garden, looking after my chickens and growing the fruit and vegetables that inspire my work.
