Waresley Park Estate
29th & 30th May
The Fire Light Sessions kick off in Waresley Park Estate, just a short drive from Cambridge, but once you arrive you feel properly away.
Waresley Park Estate stretches across 120 acres of mixed countryside open grassland, woodland, a wild swimming lake and, weather permitting, we will dine on a lawned amphitheatre set between two young vineyards. The vines are still finding their feet. It feels like the right place to begin something.
We’ll cook here at the tipping point between spring and summer. Expect food that leans into that shift green and generous, smoke-kissed and bright.
Pasture-raised meats cooked slowly over embers. Early vegetables, soft herbs and sharp fruit cutting through the richness of fire.
The estate features its own amphitheatre carved into the hillside, overlooking the grounds, the perfect stage to showcase fire cooking in all its theatrical glory.
The estate produces its own gin, beer and roasted coffee, all of which will quietly shape the evening. A welcome drink drawn from the land. Something dark and bitter from the roaster meeting flame.
There’s woodland here too and trees that will become part of our story. We’ll be cooking with charcoal and wood rooted in this landscape, fuel that has grown here before giving heat back to it. Fire that feels connected, not imported.

There is limited on-site accommodation lodges and rooms in the house can be
booked directly through the estate. If you’d like to stay, move quickly.
We’re hoping guests will be able to arrive early for a lake swim (details to follow), letting cold water sharpen
appetite before the fires are lit.
Two separate evenings. Long tables. Real flame.
Deep countryside closer than you think.
