Bristol Fire School — Terms & Conditions

BOOKING A CLASS

Your place is confirmed once payment has been received. Please check that the email address you provide when booking is correct, as we’ll use this to send joining information and any updates about your class.

Places are booked for the named class and date but may be transferred to another person if you’re unable to attend. Please let us know in advance if somebody else will be taking your place.

CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES

You can cancel your booking for a full refund up to three weeks before the class date.

You can also ask to move your booking to another available class up to three weeks before your booked date, subject to availability. If you cancel or ask to move your booking less than three weeks before the class, we’ll do our best to resell your place. If we’re able to resell it, we’ll offer you a refund or transfer your booking to another available class. If we’re unable to resell your place, we’re unable to offer a refund or transfer.

If you can’t attend, you are welcome to give your place to somebody else. Please contact us so we can update the booking details and check any dietary requirements.

IF WE NEED TO CANCEL

Very occasionally, we may need to cancel or postpone a class because of illness, unsafe weather or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If we cancel or postpone a class, you’ll be offered a place on another available date or a full refund of your class fee.

We cannot accept responsibility for other costs you may have incurred, such as travel or accommodation, so we recommend making refundable arrangements where possible.

WEATHER

Fire School is an outdoor cookery school and classes normally go ahead in most weather, including rain. Please come dressed appropriately for the forecast.

If conditions are genuinely unsafe and we need to cancel or postpone the class, we’ll contact you as soon as possible.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS & ALLERGIES

Please tell us about any dietary requirements or allergies when you book.

We’ll do our best to accommodate dietary requirements, but Fire School is a shared outdoor cooking environment where many different ingredients are handled. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before booking so we can discuss whether the class is suitable for you.

ALCOHOL

You’re welcome to bring your own alcoholic drinks to enjoy once the cooking is finished. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to ask anyone who appears intoxicated not to take part in cooking activities involving fire, hot equipment or knives.

SAFETY

Cooking over live fire involves hot equipment, flames, smoke and sharp knives. We’ll give appropriate safety guidance throughout the class and ask everyone attending to follow it.

We reserve the right to stop anyone taking part in an activity if we believe their behaviour could put themselves or somebody else at risk.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Fire School gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Voucher holders receive early access when new class dates are released. Classes are subject to availability, so a voucher does not guarantee a place on a particular class or date.

To redeem a voucher, please contact Bristol Fire School and we’ll help you book onto an available class.

If you’d like to use your voucher towards a higher-priced class, such as Low & Slow, you can pay the difference.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable except where required by law and cannot be exchanged for cash.

PRICES

Prices shown on the website are per person unless stated otherwise. The price you pay when booking is the price applicable to that class at the time of purchase.

PHOTOGRAPHY

We occasionally take photographs or film during Fire School classes for use on our website, social media and other promotional material. We’ll let you know if filming or photography is taking place, and you can always ask not to be included.
